The intention behind this project was to reinstate a sense of history and culture in Detroit’s logo design, reconnecting the team’s identity with its fans, while keeping it contemporary for the modern league.

BREAKDOWN
Replacing Detroit's franchise typeface with a custom alteration of Ethnocentric. The joint lettering, curved lines and cog design try to offer a more culturally rooted typeface.
JERSEYS
A set of small scale jersey designs. These were made to demonstrate how different elements of the logo could be combined to create more visual jersey designs as opposed to the flatter, text heavy jerseys in the modern league.
